Experiences

There are different ways to experience Prosa.

Gather with friends

It might be lunch, brunch, afternoon coffee, or happy hour.

The food and the table are planned around the group, with time to eat, talk, and enjoy the place.

Celebrate

Birthdays and other intimate celebrations in a private setting prepared for the occasion.

Each gathering takes its own shape, according to the moment and the people sharing it.

Bring a team together

Meetings, offsites, team gatherings, or conversations with clients and partners — with space to work, good food, and a setting beyond the office.

What we can prepare for your gathering

Depending on the occasion, it might include lunch, brunch, afternoon coffee, or happy hour.

A gathering can also include time in the garden and, sometimes, end with something made here to take home or give as a gift.

Each gathering brings these possibilities together in a different way.

About Prosa

In mineirês — the way people speak in Minas Gerais — prosa means conversation.

The kind that begins without much formality, often around the table, and continues without hurry. The name comes from this way of welcoming people, so typical of Minas Gerais.

Prosa takes place in a home in Aldeia da Serra, in a peaceful setting surrounded by gardens and greenery.

Here, gatherings also extend outdoors. Sometimes they continue through the garden, where guests can discover what is growing, notice different aromas, and see where some of the ingredients used in the kitchen come from.

At Prosa

What grows here.

The garden and the kitchen are at the heart of Prosa. Other paths grow from curiosity and a desire to learn.

What is already part of Prosa

The garden

Herbs, flowers, fruit, vegetables, and a hydroponic garden help shape what arrives in the kitchen each season.

The kitchen

Some recipes are already part of Prosa. Others change with the harvest, the season, and the inspiration of the day.

What we are experimenting with

Small crops we are still testing, observing, and discovering how they might become part of Prosa.

To take home

Some of the things made here end up going home with our guests. Cookies, jams, sweets, flavored butters, and other treats are made in small batches, depending on the season, the harvest, and what is happening in the kitchen.

Behind Prosa

I’m Renata.

Born in Minas Gerais, I spent many years as a technology executive and, more recently, became the creator of Prosa.

I have always loved cooking, growing things, and, above all, welcoming people. I enjoy thinking about what I will serve, setting the table, and creating a place where people feel comfortable enough to stay. I think I carry that Minas way of welcoming people: food on the table, an open home, and conversation with no need to end at a certain hour.

I worked for many years in large companies, with technology, transformation, strategy, and people. I also traveled extensively. Experiencing other places and cultures broadened my perspective and brought references that, in one way or another, show up here.

Over time, the garden grew, the experiments in the kitchen became more frequent, and I realized they were all part of the same story.

Prosa grew from that: a desire to bring together nature, food, creativity, people, and time.

Some things stay, others change — and perhaps that is exactly the part I enjoy most.
